Kids drive the darndest things – and by darndest things, we mean 4,000 pound SUVs while their parents ride in the back. Also, apparently when a 7-year-old is behind the wheel driving in the rain, nobody likes to wear a seat belt either.
We’re no safety nuts (we’ve been on a Segway without a helmet before), but if you are going to have a small child drive your SUV in the rain, make sure he wears a seat belt. You don’t want him to get a ticket.
For people that don’t speak Canadinese, this article on the CBCNews website explains what’s going on in the video.
Observing that his son is calmly chewing gum as he drives, the father tells him to “smile for the camera,” although the boy’s mother, who sits in the back seat with a little girl on her lap, apparently tells the father not to distract the boy.
The video below is a repost, since the original was “removed by user.” He probably removed the video via his iPhone while riding his rocket unicycle and juggling his baby.
UPDATE: Turns out that Mounties have YouTube now, and Canadian police are “probing” the video.
While they’re at it, they should probe the kid who almost jumped over his Dad’s car. I just hope they don’t drive over the victim’s feet.
